The Challenge

Improve the Showroom Experience

Overview

Zales was launching a new diamond that was distinguished by its intricate features and unique characteristics. Traditionally showcasing a product like this would require store employees to use a clunky microscope to truly grasp the beauty of the product. There typically being only one microscope in a busy store, Zales wanted to simplify this process and make a more user-friendly experience for their customers.

The Solution

An Interactive 3D Diamond Model

Zales collaborated with The Virtual Wild to create an innovative experience integrated within Zales.com. Together, we developed an interactive WebGL application that digitally presents all the facets of the new diamond in stunning high-definition 3D. This application was meticulously designed for seamless access across various devices, including computers, phones, and tablets. Its user-friendly accessibility empowered Zales' sales team to showcase the new diamond to customers using tablets in stores and was simultaneously embedded onto Zales' website. This interactive sales tool allowed the staff to maneuver around the 3D diamond, compare to traditional cuts, and showcase its various cuts with ease.

The REsult

Zales Most Successful Sales Promotion

This sales tool, along with other traditional marketing, resulted in Zales' most successful new product launch ever. The web application became the leading customer destination via newsletters and social ads increasing their customer engagement. Following the creation of the interactive demonstration, we also produced compelling marketing videos and written copy to effectively promote the products. Deployed to over 300 stores, the sales members were now able to more clearly demonstrate the diamond to customers and speak to more customers in a given day, ultimately leading to successful sales.
